As an aside, does anyone know what Renault charge to plug onto their system an. I tried it thinking it might reset the handbrake fault message. The red warning light on the instrument panel will come on if you are driving with an incorrectly released handbrake.

I replaced the handbrake cables cuz the left sid one had some holes in its cover, I thought it was that's why the "p" and service light, check handbreak and handbreak fault was doing its. I tried it thinking it might reset the handbrake fault message. As you can't get any noise out of the handbrake computer when trying to reset the system , it maybe a fault with the unit itself. .do I reset. my renault scenic just failed its MOT,the test examiner said i had no handbrake on my drivers side.
