2004 Renault Megane For Sale in Artane, Dublin from 1048 (Eunice Goodwin)
Clutch had been working fine up to this point so I'm suspecting it is the clutch slave cylinder that has failed. I heard the same screeching noise that you were talking about, but it will go away once. Megane clutch solenoid and floor to bite distance.
Could it be a failing clutch slave cylinder or is the clutch in dire need of a fluid bleeding???

If either hydraulic cylinder goes bad there will be an increase in pedal free play and incomplete. There's no visible leakage around it nor the master cylinder so I'm thinking an internal seal or something gave out. Clutch had been working fine up to this point so I'm suspecting it is the clutch slave cylinder that has failed.
